Built in 1920 from limestone found on the property, the homestead has been meticulously restored to its former glory, providing a glimpse of the authentic Kangaroo Island lifestyle.

Whether you are traveling solo or with a group, The Workman’s Cottage is a wonderful choice for those looking to explore Kangaroo Island at their own pace.
Wattle Grove Cottage is a charming self-contained holiday accommodation located 3km from the main homestead, offering a unique blend of history and modern comfort. The two-bedroom retreat offers a fully-equiped kitchen, dining, lounge and laundry. Originally the MacGillivray School, Wattle Grove Cottage showcases the island’s rich past, having played a significant role in the local community.

Built in 1920 with restoration completed in 1998, Stranraer Homestead is set on 1290 hectares of working property, producing prime lamb, wool and grain. It has two large, bird filled lagoons surrounded by hummocks, beautiful scenery and wildlife.
